We graft from our best stocks where the records show consistently good scores across several traits we monitor.
 
Selected virgins are inseminated with pedigee Buckfast VSH semen, resulting in fine quality Queens of known genetic heritage. This process goes through many complex stages and is a labour of love, resulting in some of the best local Queens you'll find. We work with some of the best German breeders around, using cutting edge research.
 
We run 7-day inspections across all sites with detailed record keeping, giving deep insight into many areas of behaviour. The best Queens are selected for grafting as a base for insemination work. II Queens are assessed over 4 weeks (or more) before heading off to their new homes.
 
As these queens are laying and well into their 4th week, they can be added directly into nuclei or hives without many issues (local pick-up to reduce times is recommended).
